Orange reached 3 million TV subscribers in France

Orange published on thursday its results for the first half of 2010. The group had a solid commercial performance, with an increases throughout its subsidiaries, despite a slight decrease in revenues with the impact of regulatory measures. Excluding MVNOs, the group registered 182 million customers in June 2010 with 6.7 million new subscribers in one year (+3.8%)
Digital Television business is growing very fast with a 34% growth yoy to 3.6 million subscribers across Orange subsidiaries. In France, the subscriber base reached 3.051 million, including IPTV and Satellite. The Premium packages Orange Sport and Orange Cinema Series had 752.000 subscribers, compared to 393.000 in June 2009. Recently, Orange and Canal+ were in talks about merging Orange Cinema Series and TPS Star.
