After LG, Mitsubishi integrates VUDU’s on-demand movie service on its TV sets

Friday, September 4th, 2009

Mitsubishi revealed today that the VUDU on-demand movie service, which until recently was available only through a VUDU set-top-box, will be intergrated in the manufacturer’s connected TV sets.

This agreement follows the announcement made by VUDU on Monday, in which the company had affirmed that its HD entertainment service will be integrated on LG Electronics broadband HDTVs.

“For the first time, customers can get VUDU’s revolutionary video service directly through their HDTVs without the need for a separate device,” said Alain Rossmann, CEO of VUDU.
