Friday, August 14th, 2009

MegaFon, the Russian cellular company, has denied that it will become the third mobile operator in Iran. Last week, some papers said that the Russian group had been granted a license to open business in Iran.

Peter Lidov, Public Relations director says “MegaFon does not plan to enter the market of Iran”. He added “We monitor opportunities to enter promising markets outside Russia but Iran is not among them”.
