World IPTV STB vendors market in Q309

The world’s IPTV vendors market was led by Motorola in Q309, but its market share has been declining in contrast with Cisco. According to Dataxis Intelligence, the IPTV set top box shipments in this period have reached about 2.7 million units. Motorola, Cisco and ZTE were in the lead with shipments totaling more than half of the market.
China will become a main actor in the market with its IPTV set top box tender in the end of last year, which ordered almost one million set top boxes.
