Ireland and UK households pay TV spending are the highest in Europe
Wednesday, January 6th, 2010According to Dataxis’ DigiTV service, as of Q309, UK and Ireland households are spending an average up to 6 times more than Greece and around 3 times more than Germany for pay TV per month.
As part of DigiTV, Dataxis analyses pay TV revenues by country, operator, access technology (cable, DTH, terrestrial, IPTV) on a quarterly base.
Revenues taken into account are: access fees, pay TV options, STB rental and VOD.
This ranking presents the average monthly spending for all households. It reflects the level of penetration of pay TV versus free TV and the ARPU level in each country. A country ranking by pay TV ARPU would be different.
